Why this expedition hits different

Experience highlights

Fast, visual, zero fluff — this is the energy you’re signing up for.

A Forest That Blocks Out the Sun

Dense enough that noon feels like dusk — one of the thickest canopy stretches in the Sahyadris.

Paddy Fields Bookend the Trek

Open sky and green fields on both ends, with the whole forest sandwiched in between.

Stream Crossings All the Way In

Multiple crossings on the trail, each one closer and louder than the last.

Kalu Waterfall From the Ridge

A near-thousand-foot drop into the valley, seen from a viewpoint most Pune trekkers don't know exists.

A Midnight Bus Full of Strangers

By the time you reach Khireshwar, half the bus won't be strangers anymore.

Your journey, in feeling — not fine print

The itinerary, told like a story

We skip the boring bullet lists. Here’s how the days actually feel on the ground.

01

DAY 1 — Aadrai Jungle Trek

The day begins at 4:30 AM, when the bus pulls out of Pune while the city's still asleep — an early start that means less time lost to travel and more spent on the trail. On reaching Khireshwar, the group settles in with a simple breakfast before setting off into the forest. The trek opens through paddy fields and open sky, the last clear light you'll see for a while, before the trees close in completely — Aadrai runs through one of the densest canopy stretches in the Sahyadris, where noon feels like early evening and the ground stays damp regardless of the last rain. The trail crosses several streams, each louder than the last, before climbing to a ridge where Kalu Waterfall opens up below — a straight thousand-foot drop into the valley, the one point all day where the sky comes fully back. From there, the trail retraces itself back to Khireshwar, forest giving way to fields again as the village comes into view, followed by lunch at the base and some downtime before the road back. The bus departs for Pune in the afternoon, and the group's back in the city by evening — legs done, forest still working itself out of your head. • Paddy field walk • Stream crossings • Into the canopy • Ridge and Kalu Waterfall viewpoint

"Khireshwar to canopy to ridge and back — somewhere in that loop I stopped checking my phone for signal and started checking the trees for how far up they went."

Real travelers

They came for the trip — stayed for the people

Social proof matters. Here’s what people say after rolling with Zillennia.

I've done the Sahyadri ridge treks everyone does. This wasn't that. An hour in, the trees just... don't let the sun through anymore. I stopped taking photos for a while because there wasn't much point — you had to just be in it. Then the ridge opens up and the waterfall's right there below you, and everyone on our batch just went quiet for a second. Bus ride there and back was half the trip, honestly — didn't sleep once, don't regret it.

Aadrai trek - July 2025

Went in expecting another 'jungle trek' brochure thing. Left actually surprised. The stream crossings, the paddy fields on either end — it didn't feel curated, it felt like an actual forest that happens to have a trail through it. My shoes were ruined by the end and I'd do it again next monsoon.

Aadrai trek - Aug 2025

First trek I've ever done, and I picked a hard one to compare everything else to now. The midnight bus was chaos in the best way — by the time we reached Khireshwar half the bus were friends. The trek itself is genuinely beginner-friendly like they said, but the waterfall view at the ridge hit way harder than I expected for something called 'easy.
