Your journey, in feeling — not fine print
The itinerary, told like a story
We skip the boring bullet lists. Here’s how the days actually feel on the ground.
DAY 1 — Aadrai Jungle Trek
The day begins at 4:30 AM, when the bus pulls out of Pune while the city's still asleep — an early start that means less time lost to travel and more spent on the trail. On reaching Khireshwar, the group settles in with a simple breakfast before setting off into the forest. The trek opens through paddy fields and open sky, the last clear light you'll see for a while, before the trees close in completely — Aadrai runs through one of the densest canopy stretches in the Sahyadris, where noon feels like early evening and the ground stays damp regardless of the last rain. The trail crosses several streams, each louder than the last, before climbing to a ridge where Kalu Waterfall opens up below — a straight thousand-foot drop into the valley, the one point all day where the sky comes fully back. From there, the trail retraces itself back to Khireshwar, forest giving way to fields again as the village comes into view, followed by lunch at the base and some downtime before the road back. The bus departs for Pune in the afternoon, and the group's back in the city by evening — legs done, forest still working itself out of your head. • Paddy field walk • Stream crossings • Into the canopy • Ridge and Kalu Waterfall viewpoint
